The first Afterlife from Blizzard
Hey ho! The heat wave has finally moved along, and has been replaced by buckets of water falling from the sky. But at least the temperature is now a lot better to work in.
For today I got you guys another animation, this time from Blizzard Entertainment for the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft, Shadowlands. The animation is in the same style as their series for the Battle of Azeroth and is also in line with the animated series they did for their expansions Warlords of Draenor and Mists of Pandaria. For which they created the series Lords of War and The Burdens of Shaohao respectively. Beautifully drawn images where the animation jumps from key frame to key frame. The animation tells the story of Uther the Lightbringer, after he got killed by Arthas the Lich King (remember Warcraft III?). After his death he's guided by an angel, or rather, a Paragon of Bastion, to the afterlife, Devos. Here he's supposed to ascend, but he's having some trouble doing so...
Blizzard will release more animations for the Shadowlands expansion, and I will post them as soon as they come out. In the meantime, Shadowlands is already available for pre-order. You can do so digitally at Blizzard or you can try your luck and see if you can snatch a collector's edition. These always contain a very cool artbook with concept art from the expansion.
